Home Fridays, based in Bend, Oregon, was founded in 2005 by Shannon and David Bassett. They originally bought their current residence in Bend as a vacation home, which provided its share of challenges to manage from afar. After several years of big-city life with Bend 2nd-home management challenges sprinkled in, they decided to move to Bend where they started Home Fridays to erase the hassle factor for other absentee homeowners.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have worked in the real estate business as long as I can remember. Home Fridays is a natural extension of my love of working with people and helping others enjoy their vacations! My meticulous nature (and occasional bull-dog tendencies) have been used to their fullest as I cajole and hammer the vendors into helping me best serve my home owners. It has been said that I have ‘a jar of honey and a velvet hammer’ in my toolkit – whatever it takes to get the job done.I have been buying, renovating and managing rental and commercial properties for the last 18 years. In my professional life I have worked with major corporations across the country and internationally on maintaining their properties. Professionally I managed large projects and teams of people – this translates perfectly to taking care of homes. Each family is a ‘project’ and the maintenance of their home is the focus of my job. I view a home as an important asset that needs care to maintain value. Through my contacts and relationships with local vendors and resources I can get the job done in a timely manner and meet the high standards maintained by Home Fridays. When not busy maintaining homes I can be found at Mt. Bachelor enjoying the snow or the area mountain bike trails with my husband. I also serve as a board member for two commercial real estate companies and am on the executive committee for a local bicycle club (Bend Bellas).
I grew up in Denver and spent much of my professional life in Seattle (with a large retail coffee company). I named Home Fridays several years ago after the common phrase I would often say to my wife, “I will be home Friday.” As we looked around at how to make our mark in Bend, I knew that easing the burdens of a second home owners the best method. Plus, as a bonus I was able to escape the rain in Seattle and enjoy the Central Oregon sunshine! My love of real estate investing has evolved over the last 15 years as I have purchased, personally renovated and managed several rental properties of my own. My professional background is in the information technology and accounting field. I bring key organizational skills and building experience to Home Fridays where I manage all the accounting functions while assisting with customer management. I want to see all our customers enjoy the maximum amount of free time while here Central Oregon; after all it is a vacation home. When not busy working with our customers I can be found running or biking the local trails, enjoying the snow, climbing local peaks or paddling the lakes. I am also the company ‘geek squad’ and keep our networks and accounting system up to snuff.
Diana,a licensed realtor/broker with 20 years of experience in residential and commercial property management, brings extensive experience in vendor and building management to Home Fridays.  A native of the Pacific Northwest, Diana brings her vast experience to the Home Fridays customers.  When not in the office helping customers, Diana can be found walking across England, gardening, playing with her grandchildren or hiking the local trails.
